Great for a summer barbecue.
1. Place the chili strips in a bowl and stir in cheddar cheese. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

3. Just before cooking the patties, generously season each site with lots of salt and fresh ground pepper. Grill the burgers until your desired doneness.
4. Brush the cut side on the hamburger buns with olive oil or butter and place on the grill to toast the buns.
5. Assemble each hamburger using one grilled bun topped with a cooked patty. Drop a large spoonful on the cheese mixture on top of the meat and then a big spoon of New Mexican Salsa Verde.
