1. Cut spareribs into serving-size pieces. Put in large saucepan. Add 1 tsp (5 ml) salt and enough boiling water to cover. Bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer 10 minutes.
2. Heat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C).
3. Lift spareribs out of cooking water and put them into a large shallow roasting pan in a single layer. Pour the honey mixture all over.
4. Bake about 45 minutes or until ribs are very tender. Baste often with the honey mixture and turn ribs occasionally.
