Herbed Feta Cheese Spread

Ingredients

  • 2 ounce-weight cheese, feta, traditional, crumbles
  • 2 ounce-weight cream cheese, reduced fat, softened
  • 2 tbsp milk, nonfat/skim, w/o add vit a
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced (1 clove)
  • 1/4 tsp seasoning, italian essence, dry mix
  • 2 cup assorted fresh vegetables, such as green sweet pepper pieces, carrots, pea pods, zucchini slices, and yellow summer squash slices

Recipe Method

1. In a small bowl, combine feta cheese, cream cheese, milk, garlic and Italian seasoning. Stir until nearly smooth (mixture will thicken as it is stirred).

2. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours or up to 24 hours. Serve with assorted fresh vegetables.

Yield: 1/2 cup of spread.
