  • 2 cups white flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups pine nuts
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons orange peel
  • 2 teaspoons aniseed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe Method

1. Oven at 350 degrees.

2. Sift first five ingredients into work bowl of mixer. Whisk all other ingredients together. Blend all together in mixer until just blended. Form three 8'' x 2'' x 3/4'' logs on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and cool.

3. Slice and replace onto baking sheets. Continue to bake for 10 or 15 minutes at 300 degrees.
