2/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels

1 recipe Mocha Glaze

1/2 cup hazelnuts chopped
Mocha Glazed:
-
1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
-
1 tbsp mocha-flavored instant cappuccino powder

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 cup semisweet chocolate morsels
Recipe Method
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9-inch square
pan. In a medium bowl, combine flour,
cappuccino powder,
baking powder,
baking soda, and salt.
2. In a medium bowl, beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and vanilla extract; beat until smooth.
3. Gradually add dry ingredients, beating at low speed for 30 seconds, or just until moistened; beat at medium speed until well blended. Stir in chocolate morsels. Press batter into prepared pan.
4. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
5. Using a 2-inch round cutter, cut blondies in rounds or cut into 2x2 1/2-inch bars. Spread Mocha Glaze evenly over blondies, and sprinkle with hazelnuts; let glaze set for 30 minutes.
Mocha Glazed:
1. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine cream, cappuccino powder, and sugar. Microwave on HIGH in 30-second intervals until melted (approximately 1 1/2 minutes total), stirring until smooth.
2. Add chocolate morsels and stir until melted. Cool for 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
