  • 20 broccoli
  • 1 tbsp green onion
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp chicken stock
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Beef Marinade

  • 12 ounce-weight beef, flank steak, l+f, 0"tr, brld Thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Recipe Method

1. Sliced the beef as thin as possible to ensure quick and even cooking time. 2. Marinade the beef in a bowl with the soy sauce, garlic, cornstarch and sesame oil and leave in fridge for at least 20 minutes. 3. In a small pot boil some water. Once the water starts to boil add the broccoli florets and blanch them for 30 seconds before straining them. 4. In a wok, add 1 tbsp of oil and start to stir fry your ginger and green onions for a few seconds, before adding the beef. Continue to cook the beef for another 3 minutes. 5. Add your broccoli and cook for 1 minute or two before adding your chicken stock with the dissolved cornstarch in it to thicken the sauce. 6. Lower to simmer and cook for a few more minutes before serving.
