2. Place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, or until firm. Remove from oven and cool on pans for at least 30 minutes.
3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
4. In a large bowl, beategg whites and cream of tartar at medium speed with an electric mixer until foamy. Add sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, beating at high speed for 2 to 4 minutes until stiff peaks form.
