  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • Additional confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 cups pecans chopped
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Recipe Method

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.

1. In a large bowl, combine butter, flour, and sugar. Add pecans, and vanilla extract, using hands if necessary to mix completely.

2. Shape dough into walnut-sized balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown.

3. Roll cookies in confectioners’ sugar while warm. Cool completely on wire racks. Store in airtight containers.
