2. Work butter, flour, and sugar with hands until smooth. Form into large ball.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill for 30 minutes.
3. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness.
4. Cut into desired shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 5 minutes, reduce temperature to 300 degrees and bake for 10 to 15 minutes more. Cool completely on wire racks.
