Baked Shrimp Creole

If broiled shrimp is prefered, follow the same recipe, but cook only 2 minutes on each side under the broiler.

Ingredients

Baked Shrimp
  • 2 serving eggs, whole, slightly beaten
  • 2 cup Shrimp, shelled/deveined
  • 1 tbsp oil, vegetable
  • 2 pint pepper, black
  • 1/4 cup water, tap
  • 2 cup corn flake crumbs
  • 1 tsp salt, table
Shrimp Sauce
  • 1 cup sauce, chili
  • 1/4 cup pickle relish, sweet
  • 1 tbsp juice, lemon, fresh
  • 1 cup dressing, mayonnaise type
  • 1 serving eggs, hard-cooked,chopped
  • 1/2 tsp onion, grated

Recipe Method

Baked Shrimp

1. Preheated oven to 450'F
2. slightly beat 2 raw eggs with water.
3. Dry shrimp on paper towels; dip first into crumbs, then eggs, then
into crumbs again.
4. Place shrimp in well-oiled shallow baking pan so they do not touch;
sprinkle with salt and pepper.
5.. Turn once with a broad spatula so that both sides are oiled.
6. Bake in oven 6 to 8 minutes. Serve with Shrimp Sauce or your favorite sauce.

Shrimp Sauce

1. Combine chili sauce, Pickle relish, mustard, lemon juice, mayonnaise, chopped hard-cooked egg and grated onion
2. Serve with baked or broiled shrimp.
