Provencal Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 pound Beef stew meat
  • 1 piece slices Bacon
  • 18 ounce-weight brown gravy
  • 14 1/2 ounce-weight diced peeled tomatoes with juice
  • 1 tsp Dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt, table
  • 1/4 tsp pepper, white
  • 1 pound carrots, baby, fresh
  • 8 serving red potatoes quarter
  • 2 onion cut in eighths
  • 8 ounce-weight mushroom, raw

Recipe Method

1. In medium skillet over med-high heat, cook beef and bacon until beef is browned; drain. In 3-1/2 to 4 qt crockpot combine gravy, tomatoes, thyme, salt and pepper.
2. Add beef, bacon and remaining ingredients; stir gently to combine. Cover; cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until meat and veggies are tender.
