1. Place chops in a resealable plastic bag set in a shallow dish. For marinade, in a small bowl combine wine, herb, oil, salt, pepper and garlic. Pour over chops. Seal bag; turn to coat chops. Marinate in the fridge for at least 4 or up to 24 hours, turning the bag occasionally.
2. Drain chops, discard marinade. Place chops on the rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium coals. Grill until desired doneness is reached, turning once halfway through grilling time. Allow 12 to 14 minutes for medium-rare (145 F.) or 15 to 17 minutes for medium (160 F.).
To Broil: Place chops on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 3 to 4 inches from the heat until done, turning once halfway through broiling time. Allow 8 to 10 minutes for medium-rare (145 F.) or 10 to 15 minutes for medium (160 F.)
