Split Pea Soup- Crockpot

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter, unsalted
  • 2 onion minced
  • 8 cup water, tap
  • 2 cup split peas dried
  • 5 garlic, cloves, fresh
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 pound bacon cut crosswise
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 2 carrots diced
  • 1/4 tsp marjoram
  • 1 tbsp salt, table
  • 1/2 tsp pepper, white

Recipe Method

1. Put all ingredients into crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours. Before serving remove bay leaf and cloves.
