Barbecued Oysters

Ingredients

  • 12 oysters (large -- fresh)
  • 3 tbsp oyster liquid
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste, cnd
  • 1 tbsp sauce, chili
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, raw
  • 1/2 tsp sauce, worcestershire
  • 1/4 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 1/8 tsp seasoning, onion salt
  • 1/4 tsp salt, table
  • 3 tbsp bacon flavored cracker crumbs

Recipe Method

1. Place oysters in a single layer in a shallow baking dish.

2. Combine oyster liquid, tomato paste, chili sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish and salt in a saucepan; cook over medium heat 20 minutes.

3. Pour sauce over oysters. Prick oysters with a fork to allow sauce to penetrate. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
