Sausage & Tortellini Soup

Ingredients

  • 4 cups tomatoes, stewed, Italian-style (2 14-oz. cans) undrained
  • 3 cup water, tap
  • 2 cup snap beans, green, italian, fzn
  • 10 1/2 fluid ounce soup, onion, french, cond, cnd
  • 8 ounce-weight turkey sausage, smoked halved lenthwise and cut into 1/2
  • 2 cup cabbage with carrot (coleslaw mix) shredded
  • 9 ounce-weight tortellini, cheese-filled (package refrigerated)
  • 1/2 cup cheese, parmesan, fresh, shredded

Recipe Method

1. In a 4 to 5-quart slow cooker, combine tomatoes, water, frozen green beans, French onion soup and sausage.

2. Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours.

3. If using low setting, turn up to high. Stir cabbage and tortellin into soup. Cover and cook for 15 minutes more. Serve with parmesan cheese.
