1. Place cod fish steak in oiled baking dish, set aside.
2. Bring onion and mushrooms in a pot and cook for 3 minutes in water; add butter, and then stir in flour, mix it well. Add milk and then heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
3. Add salt and pepper to taste and pour the mixture over the cod. Sprinkle with paprika on the top. Bake in moderate 350F degrees oven 30 to 35 minutes or until fish is tender.
