Easy Cheesy Broccoli & Rice

A very quick side-dish (a kids' favourite too!)

Ingredients

  • 10 ounce-weight broccoli, chpd, fzn
  • 1 cup rice, instantized, dry, sd
  • 1 cup water, tap
  • 1/4 tsp salt, table
  • 1 cup cheese, cheddar, fat free, shredded

Recipe Method

1. In a medium saucepan combine broccoli, uncooked rice, water and salt. Bring to a boil, striring frequently to break up the frozen broccoli.

2. Remove from heat. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Return saucepan to burner on low heat. Add cheese and stir until melted.
