These crumbly breakfast bars are a much healthier alternative to cereal bars sold in the grocery store.
1. Grease an 11x8" shallow rectangular baking pan. Beat together the butter, sugar and syrup until creamy.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients and beat until well combined. Turn into the pan and level the surface with the back of a dessert spoon.
3. Bake in a preheated oven at 350 F. for 35 minutes until deep golden. Leave to cool in the pan.
4. Turn out onto a wooden cutting board and carefully cut into 16 fingers using a serated knife. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
