1. In a large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add the 1 cup sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and
2. In a shallow dish combine the 2 T. sugar and cocoa powder. Roll dough into 1" balls; shape into 3"-long logs. Roll logs in cocoa mixture to lightly coat. Place 1 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake in a 375 F. oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let cool.
To Store: Place cooled cookies in a freezer container. Seal, label and freeze for up to 3 months.
