Flank Steak in Hoisin Marinade

Easy Peasy

I use flank steak a lot because I like to marinate. This steak you can slice thinly and roll up in iceberg lettuce.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sauce, soy, low sod
  • 1/4 cup sauce, hoisin
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp oil, vegetable
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 25 white mushrooms sliced
  • 3/4 cup green onion sliced
  • 1 4/5 pound flank steak

Recipe Method

1- In small bowl whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, sugar, oil, ginger and garlic. Pour over flank steak and let marinate in refrigerator at least 2 hours. Bring to room temperature before cooking.

2- In large nonstick skillet or you can BBQ or char broiler cook flank steak to desired doneness.

3- Saute mushrooms and garlic in oil until soft. Add green onions and cook one minute longer.

4- Slice flank steak thinly and add to you mushroom mixture. Stuff into tortillas or pieces of iceberg lettuce.
