Dates with Goat Cheese Wrapped in Prosciutto

Goat cheese is lower in fat, may want to try it with smoked goat cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounce-weight soft goat cheese herbed
  • 16 medjool dates, pitted
  • 16 large leaves fresh basil
  • 4 piece prosciutto di Parma, each cut into 4 long strips

Recipe Method

1- Heat broiler to low.

2- Spoon 1 teaspoon cheese into each date, wrap with a basil leaf, then a prosciutto strip. Secure with a toothpick.

3- Broil until cheese bubbles, about 3 minutes. Serve warm.
