Green Beans- Greek Style

Quick, tasty and healthy - serve with fish or roast chicken on a 'good' night.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound whole green beans trimmed
  • 1 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup onions diced
  • 1 cup diced fresh tomato
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Recipe Method

1- Saute onions in oil. Add garlic when onions are starting to collapse.

2- Add chopped tomatoes and trimmed green beans.

3- Cover and simmer for a while - if a bit dry add water or wine :)

4- Spice up dish with some fresh chili if you like when you add the garlic.
