Very authentic tasting. Makes a great twist for a brunch.

My young friend, Matthew requested this recipe from Alice's Restaurant where you can get anything you want but you can't get Alice!!

Ingredients

Egg Mix
  • 1 lrg onions, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, sliced (or other meat)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup white mushrooms, sliced
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil, for frying
Sauce
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp light soy sauce

Recipe Method

1- Combine all the egg mixture ingredients except the oil, in a bowl.

2- Heat frying pan, add oil,and fry egg mixture in portions like large pancakes until cooked through.

3- Remove to platter and serve with a light sauce. (recipe follows)

4- To make the sauce, put all the sauce ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, lower heat, and simmer for about 5 minutes.

5- Pour over the foo-yong and garnish with some chopped green onions if desired.
