A perfect way to end a meal when a rich dessert is not required.
You will need 4 wooden skewers for this recipe.
1- Wash the apples and dry well. Insert the wooden skewers into the apples.
2- Chop the nuts and place in a dish large enough to roll the coated apples in.
3- Melt the caramels in a double boiler stirring occasionally until melted.
4- Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave.
5- Roll the apples in the caramel mixture then roll in the nut mixture (the apples, not you, ha ha) and finally in the chocolate mixture.
6- Place the apples on a plate and put in the fridge to harden.
To serve, remove the skewers and slice crosswise to make thick, round slices.
Arrange on a platter leaving one whole apple in the centre of the platter to show off your handy work. Pass the platter and allow your guests to enjoy as finger food.
