This is a delicious and tasty way to cook brussel sprouts and gets away from the plain, boring sprouts that are usually served. Would I lie to you?? Try it you'll like it.
1- Trim ends from brussel sprouts and cut sprouts in half length-wise.
2- In a 12 inch fry pan, heat 2 tbsp. of butter and 2 tbsp. oil over medium-high heat.
3- Add the garlic, reduce heat to medium-low and saute for 2 minutes.
4- Add the sprouts and the chicken broth.
5- Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 4 to 8 minutes depending on the size the the sprouts until they are tender-crisp. Stir occasionally.
6- Using a slotted spoon, remove sprouts to bowl, stir in most of the cheese, and the salt and pepper.
7- Transfer sprouts to a serving platter and top with the remaining cheese.
Serve immediately.
