Hamburger Soup

This is a hearty, stick to the ribs soup; a meal in itself.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 white onions chopped
  • 28 ounce canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 cup water
  • 30 ounces beef concomme 3 - 10 oz cans
  • 10 ounces canned tomato soup
  • 4 carrots finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 celery sticks finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp fresh thyme
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 8 tbsp barley

Recipe Method

1- Brown meat and onions. Drain well.

2- Combine all ingredients in a large pot.

Simmer covered, for at least 2 hours.
