These are a real pain to make, but they are worth it. The best ginger cookies I have ever eaten.
1- Cream butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat in molasses and egg.
2- Mix flour, ground ginger,
3- Preheat over to 350F. Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
